What is Harvie?
Harvie is a software platform that helps CSA farmers meet their customers' needs through a customizable farm share program. When you sign up for a Hoot Owl Farm CSA Share, you will do so under our personal sign up page through the Harvie website.
Each week's share will be based on your preferences. For example: don't like beets? You will never get them in your share! And each week you can further customize your share, as well as order extras if you like.
Harvie gives you more choice and flexibility while supporting local, seasonal farmers!
How does it work?
After signing up for our CSA, Harvie will provide you with a list of all the crops that we grow and you will rate each item from 1 ("I never want it in my share") to 5 ("I love it!").
Based on your preferences and our seasonal harvests each week, Harvie chooses what will go in your share and sends a notification to you about your share.
Each week you will have at least 24 hours to make changes to your share or order extras if you like.

We love the CSA model and feel very strongly about it's value to customers, farmers and the land. We think Harvie is a big improvement to the model for farmers and members alike!
With Harvie helping to manage the CSA, you maintain a direct connection to agriculture and the food your family eats, but increase your control and flexibility over each week's share.
By setting your individual vegetable preferences when you sign up, your weekly share is automatically tailored to your personal tastes or dietary requirements.

Customized Boxes based on what you want!
Not a fan of beets? Want to eat all the carrots? Customized boxes will allow you to select preferences at sign up and then customize each week based on our harvest.
This will help you actually use everything in the box because you'll love everything you are getting.
Vacation planned?
No problem. You can easily put a 'hold' on your box or reschedule your deliveries so no more missing out on those veggies you paid for.
Want to order 'extra' items
from the farm?
With just a few clicks of a button, we'll put those items in your box. Which means less trips to the grocery store and more time in your day!
Flexible payment plans
Choose the payment plan option at check out and your card will be charged automatically each time your share is delivered. We have non-electronic payment options too!
Food waste is the #1 reason folks don't return to a CSA and we want to fix that!
Because you are getting what you want, you'll see less food getting tossed or composted which is going to ensure you are getting the biggest bang for your buck.
Fridge full of food, but nothing for dinner?
We've got you covered. Harvie is working hard to provide you with recipe suggestions, cooking tips, storage, and food prep resources so you won't be scrambling to get dinner on the table.
